Britney’s Dad Seeks Raise

Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears is listed as conservator of Britney and her mass of accumulated wealth until she’s deemed mentally fit to handle her own affairs. Only post-modern America could create a situation where a 29-year-old international pop star and celebrity capable of recording an album and performing on a world tour would be ruled unable to manage her own affairs, and then require her father to ask a judge for a raise. Jamie Spears is also one of the key people in charge of the gargantuan Femme Fatale tour machine and has asked the judge to be compensated somewhere in the 7-figure range. Chances are he’s probably worth it.
